WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Water is an intriguing subject because it takes so many forms. In this workshop, you will discover the essential visual characteristics of waves, reflections, ripples, wandering streams, waterfalls, glistening surfaces and shallow pools. Once you understand what you are seeing, you will be better able to translate those observations into paint. Through exercises, demonstrations, slide shows, and discussion, Susan will guide you as you practice a variety of painting techniques to convey each type of water feature. Expect to take home many small studies. You will leave this workshop with the knowledge and tools necessary for SUPPLY LIST |
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Susan Ploughe is a national award-winning painter and experienced instructor who loves helping people to develop better painting and design skills. Her workshops include useful demos, valuable information, loads of practical exercises, and plenty of laughter. Working on location and in her studio, Susan enjoys painting a variety of subject matter. She has been awarded Signature status by the American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America.
