Just copying can be boring! Join Frankie in this exciting weekend of
challenging exercises that will ignite your creative thinking. Too
many details can break down a solid composition. Learn how to turn
an average photo into a more exciting painting! Learn how to
simplify your reference and how to enhance it at the same time.
Combine photos to make stronger compositions, exaggerate the use of
color, explore the mystery of edges and create more energetic brush
work. Realize what it takes to catch the attention of the viewer.
These various painting projects will help you to take more risks. |
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Frankie is an accomplished artist with over 40 years of experience in oil painting and pastels. Frankie has taught drawing, oil and pastel painting at The Studio In The Woods (Wauconda, Illinois), The Studio of Long Grove and the Mainstreet Art Centre, which she opened in 1994 with her talented staff of instructors. She conducts workshops in locations throughout the Midwest. Frankie has participated in many juried exhibitions and plein air painting competitions and won numerous awards for her paintings through the years.
