WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Art and travel have a lot in common:
both offer opportunities to experience the excitement of the
mysterious as well as the comfort to be found in collecting the
familiar. Her own travel sketchbooks inspired her to teach others
the joys of travel art. Jane has spent a lot of time in the last few
years traveling the globe, experiencing new cultures, sights and
ideas. Painting constantly "en plein air"

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Jane studied at the American Academy
of Art in Chicago, has a B.A. from Boston University and an M.A. in
Illustration from Syracuse University School of Visual Arts.
Barton has lived in Arizona for over 40 years and loves the desert
landscape, but lately travel has taken her to Greece, Italy,
Scandinavia, Cuba and Iceland. Jane is a member of the Salmagundi
Club, Oil Painters of America, American Impressionists Society,
Laguna Plein Air Painters, and a Signature member of both the
American Women Artists and Arizona Plein Air Painters. |
