Kenn Backhaus Plein Air Painting

A native of Wisconsin, growing up on his
family's farm instilled a true, intense love of nature. He
followed his instinct, graduated from Art School and has come to the
forefront of his profession, destined to leave his impression on
Plein Air Painting in America. He served as President of Plein
Air Painters of America and has been featured in American Artists,
Southwest Art, and Plein Air magazines. Working on different locations for this 3-day workshop, Kenn will teach the principles of value, color temperature and edge control as well as controlling the center of interest in our paintings. After each day's demo, the students will have the rest of the day to paint, receiving individual tutoring by Kenn and ending the workshop with constructive critiquing of each student's work.
