The Water Works show is an exhibition featuring original landscape paintings of water activities throughout the Midwest, especially Lake Zurich and neighboring towns. Subjects for these paintings include beaches, sunsets over water, boating, swimming, splash parks, docks and fishermen, waterfalls, ponds, sprinklers, creeks, rainy days and picnics at the beach, where water is part of the scene.

The works in this show are the finalists of a juried competition. Out of 136 entries, 78 finalists were selected by a panel of judges to hang in the Mainstreet Gallery. The final 12 award winners were announced at the reception held in the Mainstreet Gallery on October 14, 2023. Following are the winners and their awards:
