WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Linda’s simplified color and design concepts will provide you with fresh approach to self expression using luminous transparent and opaque acrylics on canvas, claybord and mylar sheets. This stimulating, fun workshop offers demonstrations, prepared notes and individual painting time guided by friendly, helpful advice. You will take home a number of small studies and finished pieces. You will also acquire skills that will make you a more capable, accomplished painter.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

A full time artist, Linda Kemp frequently instructs and lectures at national symposiums and watercolor workshops throughout Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. She was the recipient of the top award for the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolor National Juried Exhibition, as well as many other top awards. Linda is internationally recognized for her unique contemporary watercolors and innovative use of negative painting. She is the author of two books: Watercolor Painting Outside the Lines - A Positive Approach to Negative Painting and Simplifying Design and Color For Artists - Positive Results Using Negative Painting Techniques (North Light pub.) and four instructional DVDs.
