David Becker is an Illustrator, Fine Artist and Art Instructor. He is also the author of "Watercolor Composition Made Easy" and "How to Sketch with Watercolor" (North Light Books). Becker has had several articles published in “International Artist” and “Watercolor Magic”. He has been teaching watercolor since 1983, has classes at the Palette and Chisel in Chicago, and conducts many workshops around the country.  This is a rare opportunity for 12 people to take Becker’s workshop, close to where he lives in Lake County. Becker’s Class in Chicago is always full.  Here’s a chance for Lake, Cook and McHenry County artists to get a shot at taking his very popular class close to home.

Day 1: “The Most Important Watercolor Class You’ll Ever Take”
In this hands-on workshop instructor David Becker will cover everything that is important about watercolor and how to paint, compose, and control the medium. David has crammed a week long workshop into 2 days and you will be learning and painting more than you would ever have thought possible. Beginner to advanced painters have taken this class and found it to be a very informative and productive learning experience.  David truly feels that this is the most important class you should take no matter what level you are. After you finish this workshop, you will have the knowledge and know how to control the medium of watercolor.

Day 2: “Composing a complicated scene and learning to simplify”
Learn about incorporating people into your painting scenes. Becker shows you how to compose and paint crowds of people and subject matter in a simplified way.
