WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Students will learn the drizzle technique, and practice drawing with dripping paint from bamboo skewers.
Ideas are flowers, coffee cups, pumpkins, or a creative image of their own from a drawing. The black acrylic paint needs to fully dry before painting with watercolor. Students will draw an image first with pencil, then paint with watercolor, dry, then drizzle with acrylic.
You will learn both ways of doing this technique. Students may also bring a watercolor painting they may want to apply drizzle to to freshen up a so-so piece.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Deborah Vandenbloomer (Debo) is a self-taught watermedia artist born and raised in the Midwest. She began her painting career in 2003. Her award-winning art has been juried into many fine art exhibits on the local, state, and international level. Over the years, her technique and subject matter have changed, but her passion to create something new and exciting has remained the same, the unexpected is entertaining and leads her to the next possibility.
