Art Talk & Mini-Workshop: Photographing Your Paintings

Artist Talk and Mini-Workshop: "Come get to know artist, Marci Oleszkiewicz-Taylor, in a 40 minute slideshow presentation of her and her work from over the last decade, followed by a 2 hour mini-workshop on the basics of how to take the best photographs of your finished work. With work in several galleries across the country, the recipient of many awards from juried shows such as Oil Painters of America and American Impressionists Society, as well as having been a juror herself, Marci is an exceptional artist to learn these skills from. You will be truly impressed to learn of this artist who has taken the art world by storm. This mini-workshop will also include a demonstration on cropping and editing in Photoshop. Additionally, each student will have the opportunity to photograph one of their own paintings,
a must-have skill for todayís artist
(max. size painting: 16 x 20).


  • DSLR Camera - Not to worry if you donít have one, Marci will use hers to help you photograph your painting

  • Tripod and attachment to attach your camera to it - again if you donít have one, Marci will have herís on hand

  • Polarizing filter for camera - This will be discussed in the workshop if you donít have one

  • Laptop with photoshop on it and memory card reader - again this is not necessary unless you have it and want to work on your own system. Marci will demonstrate on how to use photoshops basic editing tools and will edit all photos on her computer.

  • A painting you want to photograph no larger then 16x20
